The Weight of Our Words

“But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.”

-Matthew 12:36,37.

God hates lies; this is a truth which ALL Christians should readily affirm. We need to be careful with our words, for we'll account for every one of them; and whether they are true, or lying.

But in society today we have embraced lies, accepted them. We consider lying to be a typical business practice, and it is so bad that we've learned to call this evil good, and the good opposing this practice is said to be evil (Isaiah 5:20).

Some lies have been handed down over generations, and repeated so often they are assumed to be true. God says that those who are of the truth will examine their works, to be sure they are of Him.

“But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.” -John 3:21.

Within myself I feel a weight of judgment coming upon our world for the embracing of lies, and this is testified of in scripture. God says He will bring a strong delusion because of this; Jesus even says these will be the days of vengeance;

“For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.” -Luke 21:22.

“...they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.” -from 2 Thessalonians 2:10-12.

Strong delusion has certainly been showing up; when a man thinks he's a woman, that's a delusion. If a person thinks there are more than 2 genders, that's a delusion. When & where God brings delusion, He has given up (Isaiah 66:4). We dwell in a culture overspread with LIES.

We've changed the truth of God into a lie (Romans 1:25) via hundreds of Bible versions. The political leaders of our nation have taken power by their lies. Advertising lies about their products, and prices; contractors lie about when they'll show up! Holidays are built upon lies, and Hollywood also has corrupted the world through their lying presentations; all actors are liars, and it's their job to be good at it!

There should be no question on how God feels about lies. In the Old Testament, the 9^th of the Ten Commandments speaks against it (Exodus 20:16), along with numerous other verses such as Psalm 31:18, 119:29, Proverbs 6:17-19, 13:5A, 14:5, 30:5,6,8,9, and these;

“Lying lips are abomination to the LORD: but they that deal truly are his delight.” -Proverbs 12:22.

“...Surely they are my people, children that will not lie: so he was their Saviour.” -from Isaiah 63:8.

Some may dig up examples of lying from the Old Testament, such as when both Abraham & Isaac lied about Sarah & Rebecca being their sisters, instead of their wives. Please understand that God never directed His people to lie, nor did He indicate approval when they did. God showed His view on lies in what He directly taught, like in the verses previously mentioned. Even so, this was in the time before the cross, and before the Holy Spirit was given for our help.

And by the time we get to the New Testament, God's Word is even more emphatic AGAINST lying than before, and ties it in with eternal judgment. The Bible tells us that by God's very nature, He cannot lie (Numbers 23:19, Titus 1:2, Hebrews 6:18); if we are to be like Him (Matthew 5:48), how could we justify lies? Please consider the following New Testament scriptures that oppose lying;

“God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” -John 4:24.

TRUTH is essential for worshipping God.

“Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.” -John 8:44.

The devil is a liar, and his evil children do the works of their father by lying.

Romans 12:17 & 2 Corinthians 8:21 tell us to be honest.

“Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another.” -Ephesians 4:25.

“Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;” -Colossians 3:9.

Lies were a part of our lives when we were in sin, but shouldn't be any more!

“For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth.” -2 Corinthians 13:8.

Christians are all about TRUTH! See also 2 John 4, 3 John 4.

But on the subject of lies, we could go a little more basic; how about the “golden rule” from Matthew 7:12? Do you want to be lied to? If not, don't lie to others.

It's when we get toward the end of the Bible that we can see a relationship betyween lies and God's eternal judgment, listed specifically 3X in Revelation 21:8,27, and 22:15. In the last two, 21:27 & 22:15, we find that any who make or love lies will NOT be a part of heaven, the New Jerusalem. We know where they'll be headed for, and 21:8 focuses on that aspect;

“But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” Bold type & underlining were added.

Because everyone has told lies, I think it worthwhile to define what scripture means when it identifies “liars.” Lies may be repented of, and forgiven, but with repentance comes a determination not to repeat the offense.

Yes, a liar could be identified as someone who tells many lies, uses words thoughtlessly, but this type is more obvious. I would call a liar someone that, “regards iniquity in their heart,” meaning that they esteem it. They have determined that lies are necessary at times, and think it right to use them. In other words, it becomes kind of a “pet sin” which they never fully surrender to Christ (Luke 6:46).

But these I described would be deliberate deceptions, and yet another kind would come from not following through with your verbal commitments. Maybe you told someone you'd help them with moving to a new home, but didn't show up. If you said you'd meet them at a certain time, but came an hour late. It could even just be the promise of a phone call that you never make. Brethren, these are LIES; you've hurt someone with idle words, and you'll account for it before God. Be careful with the words you say, being sure to follow them up with appropriate action.

Yet at this point some may protest, “What if something really does happen to prevent my keeping a commitment? Here are several thoughts for this circumstance; first, STRIVE to KEEP YOUR WORD. Don't quickly or automatically “give up” and break your promise; be faithful in that which is least (Luke 16:10). for your life is a testimony for Jesus. Second, call the affected party on the phone as soon as you can to let them know. Nothing can be worse than waiting indefinitely, not knowing when or IF a person will show up. Third, apologize to the party offended. Let them know you're truly sorry things didn't work out, and try to work a rescheduling right away if possible. By this your apology will convey sincerity, and bring healing. FOURTH, and this for the offended party; if you're encountering this with the same person over & over, be sure to rebuke them (Luke 17:3). Also, try to avoid a reliance on them as a testimony to them (2 Thessalonians 2:14,15), for they will have to give an account to God for their works (Romans 14:12). Remember that if someone is breaking commitments with you, they are doing it to Jesus, for He said, “...Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.” -from Matthew 25:40.

There's no doubt it can be hard at times to be truthful, and many use lies at times to make others feel better. But in doing this you are only striving to please men, and give temporary comfort; this is what false prophets did to the Israelites down through the centuries;

“For from the least of them even unto the greatest of them every one is given to covetousness; and from the prophet even unto the priest every one dealeth falsely. They have healed also the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace.” -Jeremiah 6:13,14.

“Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets.” -Luke 6:26. Don't be a false prophet for your loved ones!

There is no room for lies in the New Jerusalem, but the lake of fire has plenty of housing left for all liars, and the lies that they tell. God doesn't want you to go there, and urges you to examine your heart before Him (2 Corinthians 13:5A), to crucify your flesh (Luke 9:23), and to lay aside any sin that may be clinging to you (Hebrews 12:1). You're invited to come boldly to the throne of grace with your needs, and receive the mercy God has in store!

“For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” -Hebrews 4:15,16.

Easter Eclipse; Hiding the Son

“Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!” -Isaiah 5:20.

Easter is a revered holiday for most Christians, marking the day when Jesus rose from the dead after His death on the cross. But this year Easter coincided with the President's declaration of March 31^st being “The Transgender Day of Visibility” for the LGBTQI+ movement here in America. Some say this day had been proclaimed previously, but it doesn't seem to have been widely known. The devil has given us very busy lives, and by this many have been blinded to what's going on all around them; people REFUSE to believe the end of the world is at hand, because it means God's judgment, which can be a terrifying thought. I have a difficult time trying to convince others of just how bad things are, yet if you can get a grip on this one aspect (LGBTQI+), and how it has been embraced by our leaders, hopefully you'll recognize today as the evil end time the Bible speaks about.

The Christian believer knows there are only 2 genders, and that scripture denotes homosexual behavior as a sin God hates. People aren't born this way, it is a bad behavior they are drawn into, and there can be many hurtful practices a person could be drawn to. Yet we must not yield, and seek to justify the draw of our flesh into wrong behavior, but we “deny oueselves, and take up our crosses daily” as a needful part of following Christ (Luke 9:23). It should be acknowledged here that while we wish to put away sin from our lives, not every behavior we would modify is necessarily sinful of itself. Later on I'll provide a list of scriptures on this topic, as some may not know our doctrinal foundation.

Yet there are a few areas of particular concern about the LGBTQI+ agenda I'd like to address as part of mankind's advancement toward the Last Days' judgment of God. 1) First is the promotion of these practices internationally. 2) Next is the “unequal yoke” the church shares with it. 3) There is also a forced acceptance of these practices upon all. 4) It is our elected leaders pushing the agenda. 5) This movement has been underhandedly proselytizing to bring in more members.

Many of us may roll our eyes when this topic comes up, and then move on to another subject. Frankly, it's become overwhelming at times, and in some circles; but we MUST stand up for what's right in God's eyes. It was really the Obama administration that began to widely promote this agenda, causing what was a very small, quiet stream to become a raging river. Former President Obama even stood before the United Nations and gave a speech promoting equal rights for LGBTQI+. The seeds of this movement were being noticed even from back in the 1960s.

First, the U.S. attempts to force other nations into this immoral behavior by holding back foreign aid, unless they will adopt these practices for their nations. Does this sound reasonable?

Secondly, American Christians have learned to walk in unity with this movement, and the practices of our government; thinking they are still good, and used of God-when all it shows is the depth of our hypocrisy; we should be witnessing to our own nation to put away this evil! Doesn't anyone regard the lesson from Sodom and Gomorrah?

“Then said Haggai, If one that is unclean by a dead body touch any of these, shall it be unclean? And the priests answered and said, It shall be unclean. Then answered Haggai, and said, So is this people, and so is this nation before me, saith the LORD; and so is every work of their hands; and that which they offer there is unclean.” -Haggai 2:13,14. Bold type added for emphasis.

“Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?...Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.” -2 Corinthians 6:14,17,18.

Third, there has been a forced acceptance of these practices, many times on a legal level. It is a slap to free speech, and for acting upon your convictions. It is vital that we stand for the truth. There is no room for embracing sexual sin of any kind, please read the example found in 1 Corinthians 5 when you can.

Fourth; in recognizing the time we live in, and the evils our nation has surrendered to, we must acknowledge that it is our LEADERS supporting the LGBTQI+ agenda. This reflects the morality of the U.S. as a nation, for these men & women are elected by our votes.

Lastly, this movement is not about merely finding acceptance for a certain small minority of people; no, they are instead trying actively to make “converts” for their cause-and thus we see their attack on educating our children, and promotion in various media avenues. These things are often done by covert means to go against the wishes of most.

But due to the huge media push for the LGBTQI+ agenda, I fear many of us have lost touch with Bible teachings related to this, and so our doctrinal foundation is weakened. Listed below are some scriptural references for your help, and then I'll tie it all together at the end.

There are ONLY 2 genders: look at these important verses from Genesis 1:27&28A;

“So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth...” These verses identify just 2 genders, and promote reproduction; for which any homosexual relationship will not work. Jesus also espouses 2 genders with the male & female relationship in Matthew 19:4 and Mark 10:6.

The FACT that there are only 2 biological (science) genders is exceedingly

obvious. We were born either male or female with no choice in the matter. If a woman claims she is really a man, or a man claims to be woman, it is purely by imagination, delusion, wishful thinking, or they're joking. Surgeries may be arranged to alter key physical features outwardly, but there will be no altering of genes, chromosomes, or DNA. Bible prophecy covers the delusional aspect in 2 Thessalonians 2:9-12;

“Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.” Underlining & bold type added to emphasize! LGBTQI+ is a judgment of God.

The letters of LGBTQI+ really just denote different aspects of homosexual relations, and we find this referenced in another “end times” prophecy which encompasses all of Romans 1:18-32, but these specific verses in 1:24-28; these verses say 3X how God finally gives up trying to reach these;

“Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;”

These are sobering verses. Underlining denotes where God “gives up” on these individuals.

The following are some other verses pertaining to the homosexual issue;

“Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.” -Leviticus 18:22.

“The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman’s garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God.” -Deuteronomy 22:5.

“If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.” -Leviticus 20:13.

“Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.” -1 Corinthians 6:9,10. The term effeminite typically refers to homosexual relations.

These aren't necessarily all the scriptures which relate to our topic. But if marriage is to be between a man and woman, then it isn't possible between 2 of the same gender; this would automatically make them fornicators or adulterers in God's eyes, and MANY verses apply there!

And most are well acquainted with the account of Abraham's nephew Lot in Sodom, and the judgment God brought upon Sodom & Gomorrah, and all those cities in that plain (Genesis 19:24-29). The only specific sin mentioned for Sodom was the attempted rape of the angels, and Lot, in Genesis 19:4-11. There was also, however, another account of similar nature written in Judges 19&20; please take time to read this, if you're not familiar with it.

So where am I trying to go with this right now? We see our nation pressuring other countries to emulate our morals under threat of withholding economic aid that they really need. We have the U.S. President pressing LGBTQI+ Visibility Day at the same time Christians are exalting the resurrection of Jesus! I see that symbolically, the devil meant for the President's proclamation to be a spiritual eclipse to block out the Son of God, and just ahead of a more tangible eclipse; the solar eclipse that occurred over the U.S. 8 days after Easter...

This solar eclipse was the 2^nd over America in about 7 years, the previous coming 8/21/2017. The track of these 2 eclipses forms a giant X over our nation, and I believe it's a sign of judgment from God. My wife & I have known judgment to be coming for all of the moral and military evils our nations have brought to this world, without any further sign needed-we have the testimony of God's Word, and we trust it. Jesus also said that this generation would be the last, and that nothing will turn it away, see Matthew 24:32-34.

It is time to get serious about our faith, Christians of America. Do we really love the Lord Jesus? Do we believe the Word He has given us? God warns His people to flee out of “Mystery Babylon” (Revelation 17:5, 18:4) as He warned them to flee the first Babylon (Jeremiah 51:6) many years ago, because His judgments will come; they are true, and righteous altogether (Psalm 19:9). It is time to return to our first love. God has not forsaken us, but in love He warns us to

“For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.” -1 Thessalonians 5:2-6. Bold type added for emphasis.

“But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.” -Matthew 24:13.
